*ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosaon Monday ordered to prepare and implement police reforms on prioritybasis.*
Presiding over the Police Reforms Committee (PRC) meeting, CJP Asif SaeedKhan Khosa underscored the need for immediate reforms in the police forceto improve its performance.
Different proposals in connection with police reforms forwarded by the Lawand Justice commission, public complaints against police and theirsolutions were discussed in the meeting.
Apex court judges, police officers from all four provinces and lawofficials attended the meeting.
Earlier this year, on Jan 14, the former CJP Mian Saqib Nisar had launchedthe Police Reforms Committee Report titled ‘Police Reforms: A Way Forward’at a special SC ceremony.
The report provided some major recommendations to overhaul the policingsystem.
