SRINAGAR – The Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has saidthat people of Kashmir will not allow India to change the demographiccomposition of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement issued in Srinagar onSaturday, he said that the Kashmiri people would resist tooth and nail anymove aimed at changing the demography of the territory, which this time isbeing done by New Delhi through the judicial route by challenging the statesubject law in the Supreme Court of India.
He said that changing state subject laws would have a direct bearing on thedisputed nature of Jammu and Kashmir and the Kashmiris’ ongoing movementfor right to self-determination.
Senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu andKashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, in a statement expressing concern over theprolonged detention of all Kashmiri political prisoners demanded theirimmediate release.

He said that India was using all kinds of brutal methods to suppress theKashmiris’ freedom struggle but would never succeed in its nefariousdesigns.
