SRINAGAR – A massive Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion rocked theLine of Control (LoC) leaving a Indian Army Major and a Rifleman dead inNaushera sector of Jammu division.
The incident occurred at 3 pm when IED planted near the LoC explodedleaving two soldiers grievously injured. They were immediately rushed tothe hospital where both of them succumbed.
“At about 3pm, an Improvised Explosive Device explosion took place near LoCin Naushera Sector in which an Army Officer and a soldier got grievouslyinjured.
Immediate resuscitation and medical aid was provided, however, theysuccumbed to the injuries”, said Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand, defencespokesman at Jammu.

In a separate incident, an army porter was injured when Pakistan respondedto the ceasefire in Sunderbani sector on Friday.
“Army porter Hemraj was shot at and grievously injured. He was providedimmediate resuscitation and medical aid, however, he later succumbed to thegunshot wounds. The Army authorities have promised all possible assistanceto the family of martyred Army Porter”, he said.
