WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump will undergo a medical examinationtoday as questions swirl about his mental and physical fitness.
Trump’s medical exam was announced early last month after his speech inwhich he declared the Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, which sparkedanger across the world.
The exam will be conducted by presidential physician Ronny Jackson at theWalter Reed National Military Medical Centre in Bethesda, Maryland.
White House officials said that Mr Trump would not undergo a psychiatricexam. They did not say if he would undergo other screenings, such ascognitive and neurological exams.
While the author of “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” hascharged that Trump lacked the mental fitness to serve as president, drawingfire from Trump, his aides and supporters.
