Karachi police have conducted crackdowns across the city against illegal Afghan residents, arresting 121 individuals from various areas. According to Karachi police, 45 were arrested from different areas of Korangi, 18 from East District, 34 from West District, and 14 from Malir District.
Additionally, City Police have arrested 9 Afghan nationals. Police state that cases have been registered against these individuals under the Foreign Act for their involvement in violating the lockdown imposed against illegal Afghan residents in the past 24 hours. Police also mention that the criminal records of suspicious individuals among the Afghan residents are being obtained.
On the other hand, Rangers have also arrested 41 individuals during their anti-illegal resident operations at check posts, including 25 with expired Afghan identification cards, while 16 individuals couldn't provide proper identification documents, according to the Rangers spokesperson.
