In Karachi, the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Usman Dar has been contested in the Sindh High Court (SHC). According to the petition, former SAPM Usman Dar was apprehended by unidentified individuals in plain clothes from Malir, Karachi.

Barrister Ali Tahir, representing Kamran, a close relative of Usman Dar, has submitted the petition in the high court. The petitioner has requested the court to issue a production order for the detained PTI leader.

The respondents in the petition include IG Sindh Police and others. Meanwhile, in Sialkot, Usman Dar's residence, factory, and secretariat were sealed by the district administration, citing compliance with a court order.

Usman Dar had recently appeared before an anti-corruption team in Lahore for an inquiry into corruption allegations. He and his brothers are accused of receiving Rs5 million as a 'commission' from contractors in four UCs within his constituency.

Dar, addressing the media, called for a transparent investigation into the allegations against him and his brothers, alleging that the case was initiated at the instigation of PML-N leader Khawaja Asif.
