LAHORE: (APP) Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chairing a meeting reviewed in detail the pace of Lahore Safe City Project here on Saturday.
Addressing the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif said that Safe City Project was an important step towards making Punjab a safe, prosperous and peaceful province and work was being carried out speedily and in a professional manner on this project. He said that implementation of the project would help in elimination of crime and maintenance of peace.
The Chief Minister said that nothing could be more important than protection of life and property of citizens. He said that maximum resources are being provided for setting up of a crime- free society.
He said that modern training was being imparted to the staff recruited on merit basis for the implementation of the project. He said that Dolphin Force and Police Response Unit will also be a part of this project. He said that road shows should be arranged for Safe City projects in other cities.
Chief Operating Officer Safe City Authority Akbar Nasir Khan gave a detailed briefing regarding pace of the project.
