Palestinian resistance movement Hamas' leader, Ismail Haniyeh, has stated that no agreement is currently in place for the release of Israeli prisoners of war. Such an exchange might only be possible after a ceasefire, and it will be on their own terms.

This statement was made in a two-sided position, emphasizing that they will negotiate the release of the Israeli prisoners on their own terms, but currently, no such agreement is in progress.

Haniyeh also confirmed that several parties offering mediation for the release of captives have contacted Hamas. They have been informed of Hamas's clear stance that they will deal with the prisoners' exchange on their terms, and currently, there is no agreement regarding the exchange of prisoners.

It's worth noting that the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and Israel have been engaged in an ongoing conflict that has resulted in the deaths of over a thousand Palestinians and hundreds of Israelis in just five days.

After multiple incidents of attacks by Israeli settlers on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Hamas launched a sudden attack on Israel last week, firing thousands of rockets in just 20 minutes and capturing several Israeli soldiers and police officers.
