Lahore: Trader Union of Lahore has announced to march toward the federal capital on Friday citing no relief from the government as electricity rates skyrocket.
According to Imran Khan’s Focal Person for trade Nasir Salman, the trader community faces a severe crisis due to government policies. Electricity and gas prices have skyrocketed making business difficult, he added.
Over 300,000 units have shut in the country in the past few months, Salman added.
The union has demanded a retraction of the increase in the power bills. The government should provide a relief package to the traders just like the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government did, he added.
