RAWALPINDI: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of Hanif Abassi’s appeal against freezing of his bank accounts by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in the Ephedrine case till November 27.

The LHC bench comprising Justice Mohammad Tariq Abassi and Justice Habib Ullah Amir resumed hearing of Abbasi's appeal.  During the course of proceedings, ANF's prosecutor Tauqeer Abassi told the court the Force had filed an application in the trial court for freezing accounts of Abassi and his brother Basit Abassi and requested that the case be adjourned till the final verdict of the trial court.

Abbasi's counsel Tanvir Iqbal pleaded the court not to link the case to the trial court verdict as an ANF joint director had already issued a notice to Hanif Abassi and others regarding blocking of their accounts.
