ISLAMABAD: Senior PML-N leader, Captain (r) Safdar on Tuesday demanded a ban be placed on the induction of Qadiyanis in the armed forces and key posts.

In his address to the National Assembly, Captain (r) Safdar lashed out at the Qadiyani sect, stating that the division was clear; on one side was heaven and on the other was hell.

He said that the 'enemies of the finality of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) should not be inducted in armed forces and key posts.

"Ahmadis, Qadiyanis and Lahoris are enemies of the nation," he said.

During his speech, he also called for the reversing the name of 'Professor Abdus Salam Centre for Physics' to its original name.

"If the name associated with Dr Abdus Salam Physics department is not changed,  I will protest against it daily," he said.

He also demanded that certificates should be obtained from 'those sitting in the courts' that state in clear terms that they believe in the finality of the Prophethood of Muhammad (PBUH).

"Qadiyanis should also be banned from the Atomic Energy Agency," he said. "A Grade 22 officer should testify that he believes in the finality of the Prophet of Muhammad (PBUH).
