MIRPUR (AJK): (APP) Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Friday urged upon the European Commission on human rights to play an effective role in order to prevent Indian brutalities against the innocent Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir.
Talking to member of European Commission on human rights in Brussels, the PM also called the commission for prompt notice on massive human rights violations by Indian forces, said a message received here from Brussals Friday - where AJK PM is currently on an official trip to participate in Kashmir Week.
Raja Farooq Haider said, Kashmiris need help from outside of the world special Europe should come forward to stop genocide and brutal crimes against humanity in Indian Held Kashmir.
Regarding impression of preference of commercial ties of the world with India, Raja Farooq Haider emphasized that issue of human right could not be compromised for commercial interests as human values remain preferred in many party of the globe.
He said, "Uprisings in Indian Kashmir was not a new phenomenon while Kashmiris are suffering for seven decades. About Uri's incident, he said it was a Indian drama to divert attention from atrocities against the peaceful Kashmiris."
He said, "Thousands of the Kashmir have been injured and many killed in the latest assaults of Indian forces on peaceful people specially youth in IHK.Use of pellets guns became routine matter in the occupied territory."
He also condemned the prevention of two human rights activists from IHK from traveling in order to participate in Kashmir EU Week in Brussels.
He also asked EU to keep in view human rights situation in the held Kashmir while having free trade agreement with India.
Farooq Haider said, "Basic demand of Kashmiris, the right of self-determination should be accepted and human rights organizations of world should be allowed to travel Indian Held Kashmir (IHK)."
He said, "Kashmir issue is main hurdle in the progress of the region and it is because that resolution of Kashmir issue has been denied so far".
