A boost for Pakistan National Shipping Corporation

*KARACHI: The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation on Saturday inducted one new oil tanker ship in its oil tanker fleet.*

The new oil tanker Khairpur ship, which has been bought from the United Kingdom, has arrived at the Karachi port oil terminal.

The oil tanker ship has brought oil from the United Arab Emirates.

This has risen the number of PNSC oil tanker ships to six.

On March 26, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Ali Zaidi had announced induction of new vessel in fleet of the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation.

In a tweet, the minister had said:” It gives me great pleasure to inform the Pakistani nation that PNSC has added to its fleet a MoGas Carrier LR-1 vessel on March 25, 2019.

The ship named Bolan will help reduce the dependency on foreign vessels & save millions of $’s in freight. Another step towards self reliance!”
