ISLAMABAD - Former Pakistani cricketer and current commentator, Ramiz Raja on Monday shared his thoughts about Lahore Qalandars batsman Ben Dunk, adding that the ferocious batsman should be bestowed with honorary citizenship so that Pakistan can take complete advantage of his impeccable hitting abilities on the international circuit.

Ben Dunk was named the player of the match against Karachi Kings for his explosive knock. He was one run away from scoring a remarkable century.

The cricketer-turned-commentator, in a recent video on YouTube who followed Ben Dunk’s batting closely, was pretty much impressed with the way he went about his business against Karachi Kings, with emphasis much on mounting pressure on the opposition.

The commentator lauded the 32-year-old batsman for his marvellous innings against Karachi Kings where he smashed 99 off 40 balls, steering his side to an eight-wicket win on Sunday. Ramiz Raja said Ben Dunk is a totally different player altogether while also adding that he played a terrific knock.

“Ben Dunk is a completely different class of strike force and he played a marvellous knock,” he added.

Ramiz Raja opened that Ben Dunk should be awarded citizenship as Pakistan is finding it hard to produce players Dunk.

“I think we should give him [Ben Dunk] honorary citizenship as well We should ask him to play for Pakistan because my wish is to see Pakistani batsmen do similar kind of power-hitting. We haven’t seen any do this kind of hitting except for Shadab Khan this season,” Ramiz Raja added.
