The Government has chalked out a comprehensive strategy for protection of wildlife and natural habitats of the country.
This was stated by Secretary Ministry of Climate Change Syed Abu Ahmad Akif.
He said a seven hundred and fifty million rupees program has been launched for capacity building and strengthening of institutions engaged in wildlife protection at federal and provincial levels.
He said National Council for Conservation of Wildlife has been revived for regulating and implementing the steps taken by government for curtailing illegal trade of wildlife species.
The Secretary said funds worth two hundred and fifty million rupees have been earmarked for management of Houbara Bustard and migratory birds alone.
