726 MW added to national grid from Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project

ISLAMABAD: WAPDA says seven hundred and twenty six megawatts power has been added to national grid from Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project.

According to Press Release issued by WAPDA in Lahore, at present, three out of four units of the project Unit No 2, 3 and 4 are contributing to the National Grid upto their maximum generation capacity.

Since its operation, Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project has provided about 336 million units of electricity to the system so far.

Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project has overall capacity of 969 MW. Four power generating units have been installed in the Power House, each of them has 242 MW generation capacity. APP/AFP
