On Thursday, the domestic market experienced a surge in the per tola rate of 24 karat gold, with an increase of Rs200.
The All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association noted a corresponding rise of Rs200 in the price for 10 grams of 24 karat gold, reaching Rs216,300. Additionally, both per tola and 10-gram silver prices saw a gain of Rs171, reaching Rs185,442.
In a separate development, the value of the US dollar against the Pakistani rupee continued its decline.
According to statistics from the State Bank of Pakistan, the dollar depreciated by 2 paisa against the local currency in the interbank market on Thursday.
