Pakistan head coach, Misbah-ul-Haq, and bowling coach, Waqar Younis, are expected to have a meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Cricket Committee in the coming week. According to sources, the Cricket Committee is not happy with Pakistan’s recent performances and is set to ask some hard questions from the duo. ------------------------------

Pakistan suffered back to back Test series losses against England and New Zealand. They also suffered defeat in the T20I series against New Zealand while lost an ODI against Zimbabwe at home.
The string of poor performances under the current team management has left the committee furious, and the top officials are likely to ask some tough questions from the coaches. According to reports, Younis Khan’s position as batting coach is safe for now, and he has not been invited to the meeting. ------------------------------

According to Director Media PCB, Samiul Hassan Burney, the meeting will take place in Lahore next week after checking the availability of all the committee members.
Misbah and Waqar were appointed in their roles 16 months ago, and the cricket committee fears that the Pakistan team has not progressed under their regime.
Former coach, Mickey Arthur, was also sacked after a meeting with the cricket committee, and sources say that Misbah and Waqar will suffer the same fate.
An immediate decision regarding their future is unlikely as Pakistan is facing South Africa in just under a month. Misbah and Waqar are likely to continue their roles for the upcoming series.
