Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani has called for acting in unison to defeat the forces that are bent upon hampering development of the country.
He was talking to Speaker Balochistan Assembly Abdul Quddus Bizenjo who called on him in Islamabad.
Sadiq Sanjrani underscored the need for strong institutional linkages between Senate and provincial assemblies with a view to highlight the issues being faced by the provinces in overall development.
He said in the era of provincial autonomy and decentralization, the Senate has to play more efficient and prominent role to become an effective voice of federating units.
