LAHORE – PPP Chairman Bilawal visited PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz at Lahore’s Jati Umrah today (Friday).
Both the leaders met before the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s Lahore rally scheduled on December 13.
The PPP chairman offered condolences to PML-N vice president over the death of her grandmother Begum Shamim Akhtar.
Both the leaders discussed matters related to arrangements of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally in Lahore and resignations of opposition’s lawmakers from provincial and national assemblies. They also deliberated upon the ongoing political situation in the country.
Bilawal reached Lahore Thursday and held a meeting with party stalwarts to devise a strategy for the upcoming PDM rally at the Minar-e-Pakistan on December 13. Maryam had spent several hours in Lahore on Thursday mustering support for the PDM's Minar-e-Pakistan jalsa.
It is noteworthy here that PPP leaders have been told to hold off on resigning from assemblies on the PDM’s call. The party chief has also asked them not to publically speak about resignations.
