ISLAMABAD: (APP) The contingents of Islamabad Police and Pakistan Rangers Thursday conducted grand search operation in various areas of the city and nabbed 115 suspects including 21 professional alm-seekers, a police spokesman said.
The police also recover illegal weapons, narcotics and wine from their custody says a press release.
He said that personnel of Islamabad police, Pakistan Rangers and other law enforcement agencies searched more than 250 houses, plazas and hotels in areas of Khana and Ramna police stations.
During the search operation, 115 suspects were held besides recovery of wine, heroine and weapons of various bores from them.
As many as 21 professional alm-seekers were also held from various areas of the city to curb the menace of beggary.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has said the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city and he further directed all SHOs to continue the action.
He has also appealed to the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
