Massive protests erupt across entire Bangladesh

DHAKA- In Bangladesh, tens of thousands of university students marched in cities across the country today, protesting against a controversial policy that sets aside government jobs for special groups.

It was one of the biggest protests faced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in her decade in power.

Demonstrators want the share of top government positions set aside for minority groups and the disabled significantly reduced.

They are also particularly irate over reserving thirty percent of government positions for descendents of veterans from 1971 war.
