Islamabad: The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) on Thursdayissued a threat alert for possible terrorist attack in Lahore ahead ofPakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally.

The NACTA said that banned militant outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)is planning to carry out an attack on December 13, the day when PDM willhold public gathering in Lahore.

The department has not named any specific city, which could be target ofthe attack, in the alert.

However, it said that the terrorists could target Lahore. NACTA has calledfor for stringent security measures to avert any untoward situation.
