China says India is totally responsible for the current standoff betweenthe troops of two countries on the Line of Actual Control.

At its weekly news briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson HuaChunying dismissed Indian accusation that China has violated bilateralagreements and said the Chinese side has been strictly observing theagreements and committed to resolving the border issue through dialogue.

Reiterating China’s resolve for safeguarding regional peace at borderareas, the spokesperson clarified that like all sovereign states China isdetermined in safeguarding its territorial integrity.

Chinese and Indian soldiers engaged in the most serious border clashes inJune this year leaving over twenty Indian soldiers dead.
