LAHORE – PPP Chairman Bilawal visited PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz atLahore’s Jati Umrah today (Friday).
Both the leaders met before the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s Lahore rallyscheduled on December 13.
The PPP chairman offered condolences to PML-N vice president over the deathof her grandmother Begum Shamim Akhtar.
Both the leaders discussed matters related to arrangements of PakistanDemocratic Movement (PDM) rally in Lahore and resignations of opposition’slawmakers from provincial and national assemblies. They also deliberatedupon the ongoing political situation in the country.
Bilawal reached Lahore Thursday and held a meeting with party stalwarts todevise a strategy for the upcoming PDM rally at the Minar-e-Pakistan onDecember 13. Maryam had spent several hours in Lahore on Thursdaymustering support for the PDM’s Minar-e-Pakistan jalsa.
It is noteworthy here that PPP leaders have been told to hold off onresigning from assemblies on the PDM’s call. The party chief has also askedthem not to publically speak about resignations.
