WANA, South Waziristan-November 11, 2025:A high-stakes siege at the Cadet College Wana ended in triumph on Tuesdayevening as Pakistan Army troops successfully neutralized all militants whohad stormed the institution earlier in the day. The operation, which lastedseveral tense hours, resulted in the safe evacuation of 635 students,faculty, and staff, preventing what officials described as a “mass casualtycatastrophe.”

Security sources confirmed that the compound was immediately cordoned offafter the terrorists attempted to infiltrate the college grounds. A heavyexchange of gunfire ensued, with local authorities ensuring the evacuationand safety of students and faculty. Eyewitnesses described the situation astense, with troops using armored vehicles and aerial surveillance tocontain the threat.

Officials from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that theoperation was part of ongoing efforts to neutralize remaining terrornetworks in the region. “Our forces acted with precision andprofessionalism to prevent any civilian casualties and ensure that theattackers were isolated,” an ISPR spokesperson said. The area remainedunder lockdown as clearance operations continued into the evening.
