Pakistani cricket team Director Mickey Arthur breaks silence on World Cup failure

National cricket team director Mickey Arthur said, “I fully support Babar;as a captain, I have confidence in his abilities.” Discussing the defeatagainst England, he expressed disappointment, stating that they didn’t playgood cricket and doubted reaching the semi-finals with that performance.

Arthur emphasized the need to provide players with consistentopportunities, acknowledged the poor bowling, and highlighted the damage totheir bowling due to Naseem Shah’s injury. Arthur clarified that they don’t advocate playing according to modern-daycricket but assertively promote aggressive cricket even in Tests. Regardingthe match against Bangladesh, he noted a good finish and highlighted thatteams in the semi-finals are playing according to the net run rate.
