Pakistan s Babar Azam and Asad Shafiq break 47 years old World Record: Report

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Asad Shafiq break 47 years old WorldRecord, Media report has revealed.

Pakistan’s batsmen Babar Azam and Asad Shafiq broke a 47-year-old record byscoring the highest partnership for the Men in Green in Australia infirst-class cricket, after the duo accumulated 276 runs before the end ofthe first day of the three-day practice match against Australia A onMonday, Cricket Pakistan has reported.

The prolific batsmen outscored the previous highest partnership of 233 runsbetween batsmen Talat Ali and Majid Khan against Queensland in 1972.

Azam and Shafiq scored centuries which helped Pakistan reach 336 for 3against Australia A in Perth.

Both Azam (157*) and Shafiq (119*) remained unbeaten at the end of day’splay as Pakistan enjoyed a fine day with the bat.
