ISLAMABAD – The total deployment of the Indian Army and the Central ArmedPolice Forces (CAPF) along the LoC and hinterland is up to 2,50,000 withadditional forces deployed in mainland Kashmir since August 5 for publicorder and counter-terror operations.
Pakistan Army has also increased the number of troops deployed at the LoCmonths after the abrogation of provisions under Article 370 that gave aspecial status to Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), according to an analysis done bythe Indian Army, Indian today has reported.

According to the analysis, while Pakistan has a deployment of close to90,000 troops, the strength of Indian forces at the LoC is close to1,13,000.
The total deployment of the Indian Army and the Central Armed Police Forces(CAPF) along the LoC and hinterland is up to 2,50,000 with additionalforces deployed in mainland Kashmir since August 5 for public order andcounter-terror operations.
The total deployment of CAPF personnel in the hinterland is 1,60,000 as ofnow, sources added.
In addition, there is the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) police to carry out allthe law and order duties along with the counter-terror operations in themainland.
