Lahore: Trader Union of Lahore has announced to march toward the federalcapital on Friday citing no relief from the government as electricity ratesskyrocket.
According to Imran Khan’s Focal Person for trade Nasir Salman, the tradercommunity faces a severe crisis due to government policies. Electricity andgas prices have skyrocketed making business difficult, he added.
Over 300,000 units have shut in the country in the past few months, Salmanadded.
The union has demanded a retraction of the increase in the power bills. Thegovernment should provide a relief package to the traders just like thePakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government did, he added.
