Islamabad: The federal cabinet on Tuesday approved funding of Rs41 croresto the Interior Ministry to possibly halt the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) long march.
The cabinet approved the summary in a session chaired by the Prime Ministeron Tuesday. Cabinter has issued the fund to halt the possible PTI-longmarch toward the federal cabinet.
Sources said the cabinet condemned the arrest warrant against InteriorMinister Rana Sanaullah. Anti-corruption department got the arrest warrantover the wrong record, they added.
The cabinet also discussed the investigation of the audio leaks from the PMhouse and the lost cypher from the PM house record.
Senior civil judge Rawalpindi on Tuesday returned Interior Minister RanaSanaullah’s plea against the release of his arrest warrant with anobjection.
Earlier, a Punjab Anti-corruption Establishment (ACE) team tasked witharresting Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah returned empty-handed due to the‘non-cooperation’ from Islamabad.
However, due to non-compliance with the arrest warrant, the anti-corruptionteam returned empty-handed. The arrival of the anti-corruption team wasalso not mentioned in the register.
