KABUL – Afghanistan Ambassador in Pakistan Shukrullah Atif Mashal hasthreatened to close Afghan Consulate, Peshawar if their flag hoisted onAfghan property in Peshawar was removed.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the Afghan Ambassadorexpressed great annoyance over the removal of Afghan flag from Firdousmarket in Peshawar city which he claimed was the sole property of Afghangovernment.
He said that he was really perturbed over the Peshawar police actionremoving the Afghan national flag from the Firdous market. He said that thePakistan government should address the problem according to theinternational laid down rules and regulations.

To a question Shukrullah Mashal expressed the optimism that the incidentwould not damage the relation between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
