Kulsoom Nawaz funeral, burial place and date revealed: Sources

LAHORE – The Sharif family has announced the date and place for the funeraland burial of deceased Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.

Family decided to bring back Begum Kulsoom’s dead body to Pakistan and herfuneral prayers would be offered on Friday, local media reported.

Kulsoom Nawaz, the wife of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif died at theage of 68 on Tuesday in London, months after a cardiac arrest put her toIntensive Care Unit (ICU).

The death of Kulsoom Nawaz was confirmed by her son Hassan and PakistanMuslim League Nawaz president, Shehbaz Sharif.

Shehbaz Sharif will leave for London today to get the dead body.

Begum Kulsoom Nawaz will be buried alongside Mian Sharif, herfather-in-law, at Jati Umra.

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter, Maryam Nawaz, andson-in-law, Captain (retd) Safdar will be granted parole for BegumKulsoom’s funeral, it emerged on Tuesday.

According to well-placed sources at the Interior Ministry, the trio,currently imprisoned at the Adiala jail, will be granted parole from thetime of Begum Kulsoom’s funeral prayers till her burial.
