Despite ongoing legal proceedings against Bahria Town, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has assured residents that their assets in the housing scheme are secure.
In a statement issued on Monday, NAB rejected social media rumors claiming residents could lose their properties, describing them as part of “a deep conspiracy” by certain groups attempting to acquire assets at unfairly low prices.
The bureau clarified that its action targets only properties directly owned by Bahria Town and does not affect homes purchased by individual owners. NAB reaffirmed its commitment to protecting residents’ rights, urging them to continue their daily routines without fear.
The statement also stressed that legal proceedings will move forward without bowing to any pressure, with the goal of ensuring that “looted money is returned” through a court-approved plea bargain process.
