Overseas Pakistani get the good news from the government

ISLAMABAD – Overseas Pakistanis have finally got the good news about thevoting rights.

Overseas Pakistanis will now be able to vote in the forthcoming by-electionin the country’s 25 constituencies on October 25.

Sources told Dunya News that by-elections in more than 25 constituencieswill be held on October 25.

The overseas Pakistanis would enroll them selves through a website beforethe election as more than Seven million Pakistanis will have the facilityto register their vote.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will take final decision onpermannet facility to vote for oversease Pakistanis after an experiment onOctober 25.

The ECP will submit its reply in the Supreme Court (SC) in case pertainingto allowing voting right to overseas Pakistanis.

On Friday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said that hisparty had won its struggle for implementation of the right of vote to theoverseas Pakistanis.

“Good news for our national asset, the Overseas Pakistanis – PTI’s strugglefor their voting rights’ implementation has been won as SC has decided thismust be done and directed ECP to ensure the same through electronic means,”Imran Khan said on his Twitter handle.

On July 18, National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) had issueda statement that overseas Pakistanis will not be able to cast vote inforthcoming elections scheduled to be held on July 25th.
