LONDON – Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed on Tuesday stated that Pakistanifans won’t boo shamed Australian batsman Steven Smith during the World Cupfixture scheduled to be played on June 12 in Taunton.
It is expected that Pakistani fans will turn out in large numbers and makebigger chunk of the crowd and there are fears that Pakistani fans mightfollow footprints of Indian fans who jeered Smith at Oval during Indiamatch.
Addressing a presser, Sarfraz stated that he doesn’t think that Pakistanifans will boo Steven Smith. He added, “Pakistani fans love cricket and theylove the cricketers.”
Replying to a question, the skipper stated that green shirts will put their5-0 whitewash by Australia behind them. Sarfraz told reporters thatPakistan were only focusing on tomorrow’s game. He said the morale of theteam is very high and Pakistan will deliver its best against Australia.
Meanwhile, Sarfaraz vowed Pakistan will put their 5-0 whitewash byAustralia in March behind them.
“Firstly, we can´t control the weather. It´s same for both teams. But ifthe match is short, definitely the planning is a change one,” he said.
