ISLAMABAD – Former prime minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was issued achallan ticket by the National Highways and Motorways police foroverspeeding on a thoroughfare leading to Islamabad.

Abbasi was proceeding to the federal capital on S-860 belt of M-2, near theRavi Toll plaza when he was fined Rs 750 for driving his vehicle at a speedhigher than the prescribed one.Challen issued to PML-N leader

According to the ticket, Abbasi’s vehicle was moving at 132 KM/H while theset limit by NHA was 120 Kilometers per hour; the vehicle was being drivenby the driver of the former premier.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi served as the prime minister of Pakistan following thedisqualification of Nawaz Sharif by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in thePanama Papers Case.

Abbasi kept himself low-profile even during his stint as the highest officebearer of the country and is lauded for living a simple yet graceful lifeas a politician.
