ISLAMABAD – — Pakistan says it is closely monitoring the regionalsituation and escalating tensions between Iran and the US.
Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Faisal whileresponding to a question in his weekly press briefing in Islamabad aboutthe escalating tensions in the Middle East — where the US has deployed anaircraft carrier, bombers and a strike force — said: “We are closelymonitoring the situation and will keep you informed.”
Reiterating Pakistan’s position, he said the country supported resolutionof all issues through dialogue.
Earlier Iran and Pakistan in the joint statement issued after theconclusion of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s two-day official visit to Iran,have stressed the need on swift and complete implementation of the JointComprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) by other states considering the fullcompliance of the Islamic Republic of Iran to its provisions.
