First crack appear in the United opposition government in Pakistan

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is ‘split’ on whether to join the next federallinklink to be formed most likely under thepremiership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President ShehbazSharif.

A majority of party leaders were in favour of cooperating with the newgovernment only to the extent of introducing electoral reforms while otherswanted to become the part of the federallinklink for the sake of political stabilityin the country.

Sources added that the latter group thought if the PPPlink did not join the cabinetlink, the new government might not lasteven for two months.

Divergent views within the party had prompted PPPlink Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari andformer president Asif Ali Zardari to choose the best option together,sources said, and added that the party’s high-command was expected toannounce the decision in a few days from now.
