LAHORE – A police van has killed a motorcyclist in Badami Bagh area ofLahore in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to media reports, the accident occurred near Lari Adda, where thepolice van rammed into the biker, identified as 22-year-old Shahryar Ali.
After the incident, the police officers in the police van escaped the areain such confusion that they left behind a government-issued rifle.
Angry heirs of the deceased, residents of the area staged a protest afterthe accident with the dead body on the road. The protesters burnt tyres andblocked the road and raised slogans against police.
