KABUL – The US military has carried out a series of new airstrikes on ISIShideouts in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan in the past 24 hours,the Afghan military said Sunday.

The latest airstrikes were carried out on ISIS hideouts in Nazian districtand as a result at least six militants have been killed.

The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military said the hideouts of theterror group were targeted in Nakhtar Kand area of the district.

According to Silab Corps, at least six militants of the terror group werekilled but the airstrikes did not incur any casualty to the local residentsand security personnel.
