SRINAGAR- In Occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC)has said that the continued detention and unjustified curbs on the movementof the ailing Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, are taking a heavy toll on hishealth.
The APHC said this during a meeting, which was presided over by its GeneralSecretary Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi in Srinagar on Sunday.
The meeting deplored that Syed Ali Gilani had been detained for the pasteight years, and no one including media persons was allowed to meet him.
The participants denounced the efforts aimed at shielding the culprits ofrape and murder of an eight-year-old girl, Aasifa, of Kathua, Jammu region.
While reacting to the assertions of PDP leader and puppet Minister, HaseebDrabu, on Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front,Muhammad Yasin Malik said that issuing such ridiculous and absurdstatements could only be described as naivety and ignorance.
He said people like Drabu had no ideology, faith and ethics but were alwaysready to dance to the tune of their masters in New Delhi and Nagpur.
On other hand, an Indian TV channel has reported that a retired bureaucrat,Sanji Ram was the mastermind of abduction, rape and murder of the minorgirl in Kathua.
The TV quoting the Crime Branch of police said that 60-year-old Sanji Raminstigated Special Police Officer Deepak Khajuria for the heinous crimewith the intent of driving out Muslim families from the area.
Meanwhile, in Occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz UmarFarooq has strongly denounced the repressive policies of the puppet regimeagainst the Kashmiri people.
In a statement in Srinagar, he said on one hand, people are deprived offundamental right to live, and on the other, a reign of terror has beenunleashed by Indian forces on the people.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said these repressive measures by the puppet regimecan’t muzzle the genuine aspirations of Kashmiri people.
