KARACHI – Veteran actor Qazi Wajid died in Karachi, family sources informedon Sunday.

Qazi, 87, was admitted to a hospital on Saturday after his healthdeteriorated. He remained a popular face on TV, after joining the industryfollowing his 25-year-stint in the radio industry.

His wife and daughter Fazila Qazi are both associated with theentertainment industry.

Sources said he had been facing health problems since last year.
