KABUL – A security force member reportedly gunned down at least 16 of hiscolleagues in Helmand province on Saturday evening, local officials saidSunday.

Officials confirmed the attack and said it took place at a check post inGreshk district.

According to local officials the suspect fled the area after gunning downhis colleagues.

Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack and said the suspectjoined the group after fleeing the check post with his colleagues’ weapons.
