On Saturday, the Foreign Office (FO) officially confirmed the safety of all Pakistani nationals in Morocco following a devastating 6.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the African nation. In a statement issued by FO Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Pakistan extended its offer of assistance to Morocco.

She expressed the heartfelt sympathies and condolences of the people and government of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Morocco for the tragic loss of lives caused by the earthquake.

The FO spokeswoman further revealed that Pakistan's Embassy in Rabat had promptly reached out to the Pakistani community in Morocco to inquire about their safety. According to initial reports, all Pakistani nationals were confirmed to be safe in Morocco. She emphasized the commitment to monitoring the situation closely to provide ongoing support to the Pakistani community during this tragic event.

Simultaneously, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar conveyed deep sorrow over the widespread destruction resulting from the catastrophic earthquake in Morocco. He took to social media, specifically X (formerly Twitter), to express solidarity and support for the grief-stricken nation.

PM Kakar emphasized that Pakistan stands united with Morocco during this challenging time, extending a helping hand to alleviate their suffering.
