Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sadaqat Abbasi has announced his separation from politics and the party. In a private TV interview, Sadaqat Abbasi stated that the events of May 9 were a result of Chairman PTI Imran Khan's mindset, and PTI's narrative was aligned with the establishment.
He revealed that on May 7, a meeting was held based on Bushra Bibi advice, where everyone provided their input. During this meeting, objectives were set for May 9, and it was decided that if Chairman PTI was arrested, a response should be given.
He mentioned that after the arrest of Chairman PTI on May 9, the lower leadership decided to gather at Liaquat Bagh. Protesters initially attacked the Metrobus station, and the police initiated tear gas shelling.
Sadaqat Abbasi stated that Chairman PTI wanted a significant action to create pressure on the institution. Imran Khan's statement of resistance was followed by reconciliation, as he did not want General Asim Munir to become the Army Chief.
It's worth noting that Sadaqat Abbasi had been absent from the public eye for some time and had only recently returned home in the past few days.
