MULTAN: Calling for a ban on screening Indian films in the country, senior producer Sarwar Bhatti Wednesday demanded the government finance Pakistani film industry for producing quality films.
Speaking at a press conference, the film producer of 80's blockbuster Muala Jutt said here that the government should ban Indian films completely in the country.
He said that Indian films were not only spoiling youth but also sending a lot of foreign exchange to India.
To a question, he said "gone are the days when our neighbouring country used to copy our films, adding that some people have brought Pakistan's industry on the verge of collapse."
To another question, Sarwar Bhatti said that the incumbent government had put the country on the path to progress and prosperity. (APP)
