Balochistan govt making efforts for provision of potable water

PESHAWAR: Balochistan government is making all out efforts for provision of potable drinking water facilities to the people residing in remote areas of the province.

The Chief Engineer Public Health Engineering Department told Radio Pakistan Quetta on Friday that for this purpose, execution of the project of construction of Burj Aziz Dam for supplying clean drinking water to the consumers in Quetta city will start soon.

The project will be completed at a cost of 1000 million rupees.

Seventy five tube wells would be converted to solar energy system in different districts of the province at a cost of 300 million rupees.

Similarly, several water supply schemes would also be rehabilitated in Balochistan at a cost of 210 million rupees. APP/AFP
