Differences emerge in PPP over award of party tickets

KARACHI – Disputes are being witnessed on the issue of award of partytickets in the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) as those who failed to gettickets have become enraged.

As per details garnered, in Sindh, the PPP is also in hot water overawarding party tickets. The PPP leadership is facing hardship to settledown the party tickets issues. In Karachi, the senior party workers becameangry due to their reservations about party tickets.

Workers of Lyari, the hub of PPP in Karachi, have reservations over joiningof Nabeel Gabol. Sources said former MNA Shahajahan Baloch has formed aseparate group to contest election against Gabol.

On the other hand, The PPP leadership worried about in Punjab forcandidates, because in spite of conducting interviews, the candidate areless than the requirment to contest elections as well as no nomination forstrong candidate came from Lahore.

Differences also emerged between the groups led by former chief ministerSyed Qaim Ali Shah and former provincial minister Manzoor Wasan. Thedifferences could not be resolved as Qaim Ali Shah left a meeting chairedby Faryal Talpur for mitigating the differences.

The former chief minister was angry for not awarding ticket to his daughterNafeesa Shah. He also refused to contest election from PS-26. The PPP hasalso stopped issuance of ticket to Nawab Wasan till the resolution of theissue.
