TOKYO: Japan summoned Chinese ambassador and protested over Chinese navy ship sailing near Japanese territorial waters in East China Sea.
Japan expressed deep concerns and claimed that China’s move will increase tensions in the region.
“Chinese naval ships sailing through waters of our country is unacceptable, Japan’s chief cabinet secretary Yoshihide Suga said in a statement.
“We are worried that this action will raise tensions to a higher level. Related ministries are working together to deal with this and we will work closely with the US,” Suga added.
